Privacy statement

Your data is safe with us.
We treat your personal data responsibly, taking into account all relevant provisions of the applicable data protection law.

1. Use of personal data

We only collect, use and transfer your personal data to third parties if this is permitted by law or if your consent to the collection of data is given. Personal data means any information that can be used to identify your person and which can be traced back to you - such as your name, e-mail address and telephone number. We process and store personal data only for the period necessary to achieve the purpose of storage, or as far as this is stipulated by the European legislator or other legislators by law or regulation to which the controller (responsible for the data protection) is subject to. If the storage purpose is not applicable, or if a storage period prescribed by the European legislator or another competent legislator expires, personal data is routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with legal requirements. We may share your information with other companies in our group to provide certain services. Group companies may be located in countries that do not ensure an equivalent level of data protection. We guarantee appropriate data protection through contractual agreements with the Group companies. You expressly consent to such data transfers.

2. Collection of General Data and Information

<i/>

Our websites collect a series of general data and information when the website is called up. This general data and information is stored within the server log files. The following information may be collected: (1) the browser types and versions used, (2) the operating system used by the accessing system, (3) the website from which an accessing system reaches our website (so-called referrers), (4) the sub-websites which are reached via an accessing system on our website, (5) the date and time of access to the Internet site, (6) an Internet protocol address (IP address), (7) the Internet service provider of the accessing system, and (8) any other similar data and information that may be used in the event of attacks on our information technology systems.
When using these general data and information, we do not draw any conclusions about the data subject. Rather this information is needed to (1) deliver the content of our website correctly, (2) optimize the content of our website as well as its advertisement, (3) ensure the long-term viability of our information technology systems and website technology, and (4) provide law enforcement authorities with the necessary information for criminal prosecution in case of a cyber-attack. We therefore analyze the collected data for the purpose of statistics and with the aim of increasing the data protection and data security in our company in order to ensure the best possible level of data protection and data security for the personal data we process.

3. Use of cookies

This website uses so-called cookies. These are text files that are stored on your computer by the server. They contain information on your browser, your IP address, the operating system and the internet connection. This data will not be passed on to third parties by us or linked to personal data without your consent.
Cookies used on this website mainly serve two purposes. They help us to make navigation through our product range easier for you, and they allow the website to be displayed properly. They are not used for delivering viruses or starting programs.
You can also access our website without allowing cookies. To do so, the respective settings in your browser have to be amended. For information on how to deactivate cookies, please consult the "help" function of your browser. It must be noted, however, that if you choose not to consent to the use of cookies, some of the functions of this website might be impaired and your experience of the site be limited. The websites http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ (US) and http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/ (Europe) allow you to manage online advertising cookies.

4. Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies", text files that are stored on your computer and which help the website to analyze how you use the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website will be transmitted to and stored by Google on a server in the United States. Due to the activation of IP anonymization on this website, however, your IP address will be truncated by Google within a EU member state or other EEA (European Economic Area) states before being transmitted to the US. Only in exceptional cases will your full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the US and truncated there.
On behalf of the operator of this website Google will use the information for the purpose of evaluating your use of this website, compiling reports on website activities and providing other services relating to website activity and internet use to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by Google Analytics from your browser will not be connected with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate setting of your browser software. However, it must be noted, that this may lead to the full functionality of this website not being available.
You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and data related to your use of the website (including your IP address) as well as the use of such data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in that is available under: Browser Add On zur Deaktivierung von Google Analytics.
Further information on terms and conditions of use as well as data privacy can be found at: http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html and https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/, respectively.

5. Commerce Connector

On our website, you will find a selection of online retailers along with links that will take you directly to their pages. You just need to click on the logo for the relevant retailer to follow the link. When you click on one of these links, our partner – Commerce Connector – will store a cookie on your device for 7 days. After this time has passed, the cookie will be deleted automatically. If you make a purchase from the online retailer within the period of 7 days, Commerce Connector can access the cookie to find out information about your purchase from that particular online retailer. Commerce Connector does not have access to any personal information that could be used to identify you. All they have is a unique cookie number. Commerce Connector uses the information collected about purchases to compile anonymised sales statistics for the products that we sell via these links. They then make these statistics available to us. You can find further information in the Commerce Connector privacy statement.

6. Use of Social Media Plug-ins

We currently use the following social media plug-ins: Facebook, Google+, Twitter, LinkedIn, Xing and YouTube. The provider of the plug-in can be recognized by the marking on the box above the first letter or the logo. We offer you the possibility to communicate directly with the provider of the plug-in by clicking the button. Only when you click on the marked field and thereby activate it, the plug-in provider receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding website through our online offer and that further data may be transmitted. Facebook, according to its provider in Germany, anonymizes the IP address immediately after its collection. By activating the plug-in, personal data will be transmitted by you to the respective plug-in provider and stored with him (for US providers, in the USA). Since the plug-in provider collects data, especially through the use of cookies, we recommend that you delete all cookies by clicking on the corresponding field in the security settings of your browser. We have no control over the data collected by the plug-in providers and the data processing, nor are we aware of the full scope of the data collection, the purpose of the processing or the retention periods. We also have no information about the deletion of data collected by plug-in providers. The plug-in provider stores the data collected about you as usage profiles and uses them for purposes of advertising, market research and/or the needs-based design of its website. Such an evaluation is carried out in particular (also for non-logged-in users) to display tailor-made advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles. To exercise this right, you must contact the respective plug-in provider. With the plug-ins we offer you the opportunity to interact with social networks and other users in order to improve our offer and make it more interesting for you as a user. For more information on the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by the plug-in providers, please refer to the privacy policies of the providers below. They will also give you more information about your rights and setting options for protecting your privacy.

By subscribing to our newsletter, you agree to the described procedures and information about data storage.

The newsletter which provides promotional information on our products and our company will only be sent with the consent of the recipient. For this purpose, a double opt-in process is used, which means that after registration the subscriber will receive an e-mail asking him to click a link in order to finally confirm that he/she wants to be added to the distribution list. Thus, it is guaranteed that nobody can register with external e-mail addresses. To subscribe to the newsletter, it is sufficient to provide your e-mail address. Any further information is voluntary and is used solely to personalize the newsletter.

All data stored with subscription (i.e. time of registration and confirmation as well as IP address) is transferred to and stored by the Rocket Science Group LLC. It will not be made available to third parties. Logging the data, however, is essential in order to be able to track any possible misuse of a recipient's e-mail address later on, thus providing legal security for the responsible party.

Dispatching the newsletter and measuring its success are based on the consent given by the recipient in accordance with Art. 6 Par. 1 lit. a, Art. 7 General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in connection with § 7 Sect. 2 (3) UWG (Act against Unfair Competition) and based on legal permission according § 7 Sect. 3 UWG, respectively.

You can cancel your subscription to our newsletter at any time. In this connection, you can revoke your consent for storing your personal data at any time. This can be done by clicking the respective link at the end of each newsletter. You can also unsubscribe from our newsletter directly on our website or by informing us otherwise, provided that former consent is confirmed at the same time.

For our newsletters, we use the newsletter service "Mailchimp", a dispatch service provider created by the Rocket Science Group LLC, 675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000 Atlanta, GA 30308, USA. Further information on data protection of Mailchimp can be viewed at: mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/. MailChimp is certified under the Privacy Shield Agreement and thereby undertakes to comply with the EU data protection regulations. (https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000TO6hAAG&status=Active). The newsletter service Mailchimp is used on the basis of our legitimate interests as defined in Art. 6 Par. 1 lit. f GDPR and of an order processing agreement as defined in Art. 28 Par. 3 S. 1 GDPR.

The Rocket Science Group LLC may use the recipient´s data in a pseudonymous form, i.e. without assignment to a certain user, in order to optimize or improve their own service, for example, for the technical optimization of sending and presenting newsletters or for statistical purposes. Mailchimp, however, does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to contact them themselves or to pass the data on to third parties.

The newsletters contain a pixel-sized file which is retrieved from our server or from the server of the dispatch service, should we use one, when the newsletter is opened. Within the scope of this retrieval, technical information, such as information about the browser and your system, as well as your IP address and the time of retrieval are initially collected. Personal information collected this way is stored and analyzed in order to optimize the dispatch process of the newsletter and to adapt the contents of future newsletters to the interests of our users. It will not be passed on to third parties.

10. Your Rights

Upon request, you will receive free information as to whether personal data has been processed about you and, if so, what personal data has been stored about you. If your request is not in conflict with a legal duty to retain data (e.g. data retention), you have the right to have corrected incorrect data and to have deleted your personal data (for the future). You can object to the processing of your data at any time. We will no longer process your personal data in the event of an objection, unless we can demonstrate that compelling legitimate interests override your interests, rights and freedoms or if the processing of the data is intended for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims. You have the right to withdraw your consent to data processings - for the future - at any time without giving a reason.
