Contact pressure monitoring with two-handed operation
This special form of contact pressure monitoring ensures that components are joined in a way that guarantees process reliability and prevents tampering. For applications for which safety and security are key, it is often a requirement for tampering to be completely ruled out during the riveting process.
GSM radio module
If something is not as it should be, e.g. if the feed unit is almost empty, the GSM (global system for mobile communications) radio module will send a notification in the form of a phone call or SMS to a mobile telephone or to a process control centre, meaning that problems can be addressed quickly.
Interface for connecting to external controllers
The new GESIPA®-Interface has been developed in-house at GESIPA on the basis of an embedded PC system. It features 24 digital control inputs and outputs, Ethernet connection compatibility via an RJ45 socket, and status LEDs. Also amongst the features offered by the new interface are options to connect a protocol converter for all current bus systems and external storage devices as well as a USB port to enable data to be transferred speedily. The GESIPA®-Interface also has a process database, where as many as the last 250,000 pieces of process data (e.g. date, time, riveting point, process curve and evaluation) can be stored. The interface is naturally backwards compatible, meaning it can be used with older models.
